Development of land and rapid urbanization lead to cluttering and hindered mobility within the evolved region. Human society is growing faster than ever, developing the insatiable need for swift conveyance and unhindered communication. That being the situation, aerial vehicles, as opposed to land and water based modes, have emerged as the winners in the race for speed and mobility. From a successful first flight in the beginning of the 20th century, we have come a long way where aerial vehicles became vital for catering to even the basic needs of our society.
Incorporated in March 2018, the company has seven highly skilled personnel with research and industrial expertise in Aerospace, Mechanical, Robotics, Control system and Electronic engineering domains. The company is incubated in Maker Village supported by MeitY and Kerala Startup Mission (a Government of Kerala initiative).
The team has a combined experience of more than ten years in Engineering, Research & development with a perfect blend of research and industrial skills. The core team comes from India’s premier institutes such as IISc Bangalore, IIT Madras and IIST Trivandrum. With industrial exposure and mentoring from scientists and engineers at National Aerospace Laboratories, ISRO, and Axiom Research Labs (Team Indus). The capabilities of the team is further enhanced by mentors with strong research and industrial experience. Technological capabilities of FeatherDyn has been validated by the successful test flights of the prototype developed.
The team has indigenously developed a semi-autonomous, vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) fixed-wing Unmanned aerial vehicle which is capable of long distance and large endurance operation. The product is equipped with autonomous navigation, efficient communication systems and advanced sensors; which eliminates the necessity of a trained pilot and thus assures its reliability and a minimal operational cost.
